Dil Se..re re rewatchin .. (sha sha sharukhs only good one)

I love the photography in this movie.Lighting so subtle, smooth shadows, beautiful faces just barely illuminated to show their outlines.May be the photographer meant it in an art movie kinda way or something i donno. It made the movie look more beautiful than it might have been, had it been shot by some bollywood karan jo photographer.
What is worth watching is how the photography slowly keeps you more and more hooked to the movie. The way it portrays the beauty of the scenery around, the subtle dialogues all the more complementing the careful picturization of very delicate , silent scenes. If you really do watch this movie , and especiall if more than once , you will observe that it is the silent and subtle scenes between manisha and shah-rukh that keeps the spirit of the movie alive. The credit definitely goes to Santosh Sivan for that. And obviously hats off to Maniratnam too.

I do not indend to turn this into a draggin movie review.Just thought that i might share what i exactly like about this movie. On its 20th or so re run.Watch it if you havent already.
If you are a fan of photography /anything visual , do tell me if this felt like shit to you.

Will just leave you with some stuff that i liked.

Awesome scenes with very little lighting include:
--- The scene where Manisha meets Shah-rukh in the AIR studio.Only the viewing hole forms the single source of illumination.
---- Shah-Rukh in the AIR studio again, illuminated by a single table lamp , in the Aye ajnabi song.Awesome.

Fact :: People look a lot younger with lesser lighting..... :) .Preity looks 15... :P

Shitty Scenes ::
The stunts in the movie somehow, i felt brought out the monotony of the camera work.Very little of what existed though.Scary !

I am reading my first autobiography.NoT MY autobiography.Well , as long as i can remember , reading books have not really intruded into my other day to day activities. But this autobiography stuff is pretty scary, especially when its as heavy as this one - Mahatma Gandhis' "The story of my experiments with Truth " is having some profound impacts on my day to day activites.

Somehow , now i v started thinking about conserving money, cleaning my room, reading more books, improving my handwriting, cuttin down on my talk etc etc.Waiting for the effects to wear of though......!

Some more books have caught my attention lately ,which include a book called 1984 by George Orwell (its on my shelfari bookshelf..check it out for more info) and ofcorz the - Lord of the Rings, which , i think deserves a try , if not more given the fact that, i am not interested in fantasy all that much.

Enuf of Books..and this post i guess.Got nothin much to talk about except that the thought of going to office is creeping in again since its late sunday. So , i guess its an end to all the fun i v had here at home.Need to get into a very very Air Conditioned Volvo thats gonna rub my throat raw and then catch some sleep at blore and continue the Work Life..OH MAN !!!

Looking back.

The past teaches us.The past teaches us ?? THe PAST TEACHES US ?
Hmm...hmph...K straight to the point let me be,The past taught me that im getting more and more retarded, more and more limited in creativity, joy and more importantly common sense.I m also turning into a girl FYI , coz rite now if you check out my blog , you will definitely find more poems than short stories or overly exaggerated descriptions of seemingly insignificant events .This howver seems to be because the IT life is ,well ,making me bend down and let IT ... hammer......Ya u get it.

So from next time, i swear to god , the mother of all gods , the big daddy of the mother of all gods that I will most definitely try to exaggerate every single teeny tiny bit of every single teeny tiny moment that passes by ,in a time that is conducive enough for me to switch on Gmail and type more than a 100 words. If those many are enough.

Now lemme get back to work and boredom .. (ignore the redundancy if you see any)

Tirupati- Part II

Yesterday was torture , joy, entertainment ,more torture, bankrupcy, mercy and lucky ass gets a free lift , coupled with not so lucky ass walks all the way to the beginning of the hanging bridge at 3 in the morning (k that was technically, today.but all part of travel).
But all worth it.Why may ask some lonely souls reading this blog.Well..it was all worth it because i got to attend a wedding reception.(Glad i did, coz usually i have this tendency to kick weddings in the ass coz they are usually pretty depressing.Reminds you of how much fun he /she is missing once married .. :) Neway Thats how their life is .hehe) ,and also got to visit this great place that is Tirupati.Mom was pretty depressed that i dint visit the temple and all inspite of being there."Ya mom, i was there ,hardly had 3 hours of stay and i am pretty sure that i would not have enough patience to last alone in a queue that spans kilometres, even if you think thats a Myth!!.".My friend though, had arrived there a day earlier and quite somehow, managed to pull offf..well ....All the hair on his head !! No .No miracle.Just a bald head.I think it somehow suits him,Especially since from now , i would not be pitying his bald patches...

Hmm now ,back to tirupati!
Quite a scenery that place is got.Beautiful mountains, beautiful tropical weather.Humid ,Rainy nice and sultry.. :P. Very well maintained too..Not like the last holy place i came across.Kanchipuram(not really clean..NO nO.).Absolutely Cool place to be in if you want to lay back and let your mind be at peace.Did not have much time to fool around though.Hardly had 3-4 hours in which i had to get to the guest house with my friends who i had ganged up with and then go show my face at the wedding reception and hop on back..So Kinda sad that i couldnt check it out that well.

Hoping that i can get one more trip there some time soon...
Until then the wait is on.

Tirupati .

Was in tirupati for around 5 hrs or so.The place is great. But never got a chance to go to the great temple. Not that i fancy it , but i would definitely like to visit it atleast once. The scenery is great and the town so bloody beautiful.

Angel fo sin.

Pristine lands,pristine minds
Sunny days and green grass
The humming birds fluttered
Flowers bloomed,
The breeze blew
Rains broke into sprays
Lillies bathed in the mist.

I watched out the window,
a misty curtain of fog
hid behind it ,my darling of all
Waited for it to wilt, wither and melt away
The rain it seemed, would never give away

All that jazz and my new teacher

All that jazz ? I v always wondered what jazz was...atleast i wanted
to have some superficial info.Googlin always confused me.It wasnt
really jazz until you could experience it.And well ,God gave me one
helluva jazz drummer for a teacher.Amazing man, amazing teacher amazing
DRUMMER!.Really can find no words to describe him.Every time he picks
up those sticks,u donno what hes gonna play.I promise.Magic is what
some humans can do and most others cant. And this,is jazz he says.Jazz
i magic.Oh yeah........

FYI -- TO all those ppl who think jazz is shit....I thot so too..its
not really engagin unless you start listening to it.It doesnt hit you
intially coz it never tries to.Its genius u need to see to
believe..rather LISTEN to.Like learn relativity to appreciate
Einstein...Or atleast give it a try :P....

---mondayne......

K, today is tuesday and im yet to start watching bleach.I have not listened to a new U2 album for the past 2 months.I have not listened to an AR number in the past 2 weeks.

Thats me,i still love all that stuff , but cant figure out how im not doing it.
Still listening to metallica, playing some guitar, figuring out drums. But thats all there is left.My lifes comparable to a parchment ,ageing ,yellowing slowly giving all the details away, reduced to blotches barely distinguishable from one another.......

Good vs Bad

The devil and miss prym is on now..MY cousin told me that paulo coelho
is an ass who teaches ppl how to live.I would quite easily
disagree...He doesnt tell you how its done, but poses the same
questions that you had about life, gives his views and simply lets you
wonder on about why things are the way they are.Quite an amazing guy
to have such a brilliant sense of the plot of every story he
writes, quite a guy, seeing the way he weaves every little detail to
make such a complex message so simple. No high sounding words no
adjectives no abbreviations no intricate puns (PUNS only mean strict
word play..there are lots of hidden meanings though!! )

Loving the book so far..Sorry cousin..its goodbye to your theories on
P.Coelho for me... im lovin it..

Blatantly denying entertainment.....

Looks like god was out of fun today and plenty on pain in the ass..so
hes given me some extra...sitting infront of my vintage 90s 17" CRT
monitor, burning my ass and eyes off to solve issues which human eye
can never detect....and finally the fix would ultimately, somwhere
down the line , generate a bug big enuf to blow ur eyes out...pretty
much the same situation my brains are in....smoky and smel..y.y.y

no wonder they are called bugs......bugger..s...

The Incomplete world.

i reap souls
i sow misery
i saw love,
nothing but bribery
for want of trust
for the want of a bribery
for the want of money
enforced slavery.

Heart tore hearts,
hate crushed hate
love crushed love,
war crushed a war
and a spar crushed a spar
man crushed man
blood mixed with blood

No one left the young,
no one left the dead
burnt them all alive
left were the women,
for reasons untold
under seething whispers
what story may unfold
cursed are the mankind
cursed are we
cursed are the innocent,
brought to the world by the sinned.

I ll watch on until theres a chosen one..

The Promise

It was too early for the sunrise,
But i woke up, the world still
My eyes they drooped, my legs dropped still
I walked against their will

(Walked on walked on )

Hey there you are ,
Descended from the stars
Dont wipe those tears ,
You were far.

The mountains told a story , all over again.
The breeze whistled our favourite song
The morning mist was sweet again
Never to go away again

You had promised, never to disappear
But then you left,
Had you promised ,never to return again
When i realised , i wept.

sat-er-dayy moreneeng...

Guess wat i did yesterday !!
K , m chucking all the build up i had in mind, obviously they sucked , so here it goes...

I had gone for a violin and piano concert in the allianz francaias in Bangalore and they were amazing!
The man was reading staff notations and playing on ..a.t the same time ! Thats the first time i have ever seen someone live doing that ! Plus the stuff they played were Bach,Beethoven and random french artists (sorry artists , i forgot ur names), and hence needless to comment on the quality of the compositions.Makes me wonder what i am doing in this world calling myself a student of music..Its really getting close to the analogy " Hey look i look like superman...all i need to do now is wear my underwear outside my pants" ....

So , the music concert really rocked and this makes me really wanna learn the staff notations so that i can play awesome, like live streaming kinda music .. (Yes , you learn the staff notations and then u just read them and play on, like you are reading a book. Its real easy...Just a hint though. It takes around 5 years to master.NOT like reading a book.... :P)

End of it all me and the other guys sat down in a non veg restaurant where i ordered vegetarian food (and they pitied me , pitied me beyond what they thought that i could take :P),and started talking about classical music.I just blanked out and managed to keep focus on what they were actually talking about, instead of slipping into passive autopilot mode (No not the one joey does ..tan tan tan..no...I was really tempted to replay the whole piano piece in my mind though..atleast visually .. ).I slipped in some questions too btw...that was great considering my complete ignorance when it comes to classical music .. (well, generally too it isnt too great..but .i dint have to tell u taht...taking it off the blog is against my ethics..ehehe)

Split up by 22:30 hrs and i roamed around aimlessly on a one way looking for a bus that goes the wrong way......An auto guy told me tat it was a one way and i did the " Oh watever , tat wasnt stupid..it was a major work out" kind of shrug and headed for the sivaji nagar stand.Managed a cab till there and somehow found my way home by 1:00 AM .The rest as they say is reSTory...!!zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....
