Well folks.firstly fogive me for the review that im about to write ...its my first time so its gonna be horrific.. :D ..
THE MAESTRO : I faintly remember a character in seinfeld who liked himself to be called that....well who doesnt ?? If some of u lame heads are wondering who or what a maestro is ( ah u gtta be really lame, considering the fact that i made that sentence up to build up my entrance.... ),,,,LISTEN TO ADA !!
Okay, lets start with the songs, first the masterpiece

Ishq ada hai (male) : this one is one of the most awesome compositions by A R in hindi.I say hindi because he has already given a a similar mindblowing number called naadhir dhinna in tamil for the movie Paarthale paravasam. The song ishq ada hai is incredibly fresh to hear, although on careful listening you realise how much the song actually circles around the same notes. There is,i feel terrific improvisations made in the songs tunes to divert the whole attention of the listener from this fact. The male version of the song has been most terrifically been rendered by rashid ali.I would call this song the most complicated song in the movie, very AR like , and the most beautiful because u just gotta listen to it more and more.. !

Ishq ada hai (female) : You might think its the same song.Come on now, this is A R Rahman we are talkin about!
Rahman sir has managed to pull off another stunner version of the song with quite a bit of panache because even after you listen to the incredibly powerful male version of this song (which im quite partial to ) , he makes you feel as if this song was made for the female voice. The obviously a huge difference in the way the song is rendered by the female singer, parul mishra.

Me as an amateur guitar player found this song (esp the male version)very interesting to play on guitar too..The song reveals Rahmans ability to blend music and percussion as he uses something like a guitar to add to the rhythm with no effort. He needs no beatbox to make music..Define genius with this song.

Hawa sun hawa : If u thought genius begins and ends with a song , you were most obviously and most definitely ... hmm.. wrong ! Hawa sun hawa most definitely will blow you away yet again ,that is if you are resilient enough to stop listenin to ishq ada ( the first track ie ! ) and switch to the next track!
This melody or duet as u may call it,is the one that can make sonu nigam lovers out of ,ehmmm... well .. sonu nigam haters ! and u will most definitely forgive alka yagnik for all the songs she sang for himesh reshammiya ( hehe ...just a joke .. a poor joke ..still i wont take it off ..)!!!.The melody is of course the most incredible and the background music is quite like A R rahman. It will keep you hooked. This song also has vintage A R Rahman flute and tabla. Its a song that will definitely stay in your hearts for its lyrics too..Enjoy it.

Gumsum :This song is again a soothing composition by Rahman sir,but not so endearing as the previous one. There is definitely some hot santoor tunes and riffs being played on the background. The tune is old schoolish , as Rahman sir had mentioned ..But it will definitely give you a high even if you are a new gen guy.

Gulfisha : aah finally somethin that you have been waiting for.A R sir finally calls on one of the finest singers ever to have sung in the party mode.Ms Sunidhi Chauhan. She simply shows us what her vocal range is by singing this song in both the octaves ! That simply is amazing considering the fact that her lower octave is the bassiest and the most beautiful compared to her peppy and energetic higher one.Simply put ,its awesome ! The beats of this song are really good and Sonu Nigam,as usual does a wonderful job on the male vocals part.Again, not as good as hawa sun hawa but its totally upto you to decide which one you like more.

Meherbaan : Now,if you thought that Sonu Nigam was god, lemme show you someone who is better than god.The man himself, the sole responsible soul responsible for all the soul touching songs in this album Mr Rahman himself!.This song is awesomely A R Rahman like with lots of piano and base intermingled. The singing by him is really beyond materialistic explanations and the joy it gives you is beyond spiritualism. This one accodrding to me,is one of the best songs by him in a long time and i think hes put his heart and soul into this one.Definitely a 9/10 for this one.

Tu mera hai : Chitra is regarded as the nightingale of kerala. Most definitely today after janaki amma. She proves her mettle once again on the northern front with this beautiful composition.Rahman sir has managed to merge her awesome high notes with that of the equally competent Sukhwinder Singh with some clever harmonies and interleaving of their voices.Watch out for the ya rab ya rab chanting by Rahman himself in the middle of the song. The effect of that interlude will blow your mind away. The song overall is really good and can be really thrilling with Chitra waltzing with the high octave notes.
Hai Dard : This one,is a Rahman song that needs some listening to ..Im doing just that.I dint like this one too much.Post your comments on this one.Im stll not good enough to write a review on this track.

Milo Wahan: This song has been sung by the south indian singer P.Jayachandran, who gave us unforgettable hits like Kannathil Muthamittal and En mel vizhundha mazhai thuliye. The recital of this song is absolutely awesome and it has a very good feel to it.The female singer is Alka Yagnik who has done her job well with this one.Jayachandran ultimately turns out to be the better singer in this one with some mind boggling, sweet and well improvised reciting. You will most definitely not notice the south indian accent with him.The tune to this one reminded me of the old time in indian cinema and Rahman sirs new twists add a new flavour to the old style.Listen to it for the melody and Jayachandrans voice.

Meherban Instrumental : This one is a sweet soothing instrumental from Rahman. The instruments used vary from melodic guitar playing to slash style solos. Most definitely a worthwhile instrumental to listen to.Expertise of Rahman on instruments being used can be well understood by looking at the variety of instruments used in this one and the ways in which it is used.
